We took our boys up to NC to the Polar Express at the GSMR. I was looking for a great restaurant to eat and Yelped. Haywood Smokehouse came up with 5 stars and 102 Yelp reviews. Figured it must be good. Having run the largest BBQ chain in the country I figured I'd be pretty good at judging BBQ. Hands down Haywood is the best I've ever had! Will definitely be back anytime I'm passing through.
Great place to eat, waitress was very friendly. Menu had a good variety. We will definitely be going back, well worth the 2 hour drive!

Best. Brisket. EVER!! My family and I stopped on a whim just looking for a place to eat close to our hotel. We were very pleased with the food, service, etc. I will be going again as soon as I can get back.
This place was so good. Excellent variety of meats and the BBQ sauces were very tasty (I had the sweet and the hot). The staff was very friendly and gave us suggestions that were awesome! Highly recommend this place.
The food was great this was my second time visiting. Both times we had to be put on the waiting list for a table which was Ok BUT the hostess was CLUELESS. Don't tell customers a 20-25 minute wait and it's actually 1-1 1/2 hour wait� I'll only eat there again if there's a table available.
