Dick's Drive-In is an iconic Seattle institution that's faithfully served the city the classic American combo of burger and fries since the 1950s. The Wallingford branch is the oldest and has been a neighborhood favorite since 1954. The take-away restaurant usually features long lines, though they move quite quickly. The retro ambiance and old-fashioned menu only add to the charm. Opt for a Dick's Deluxe Burger with a side of fries, washed down with a milkshake made the old-school way; be sure to leave your diet at home for ... read more

A small bit of Americana – In an overly corporately cooked world, Dick's reminds us of what early fast food restaurants were like in the 1950's. Before multinational corporations laid claim to this industry, the small local burger joints gave us our first taste of fast food. Not surprisingly, it was and still is superior to the Fast Food Nation of today. Kudo's to Dick's for reminding us that we still have choices.
YUCK!!! – Is it me? Or is Seattle Taste Deaf??? Dicks Drive in only offers greasy burgers with ketchup, grade B cheese, and Mustard. No modification allowed. I do not understand why someone wants to pay $1.99 - $2.99 for that.
AWESOME – I just loved it! Late night drunk food. I am from Kansas, and when I moved here I HAD to stop in the Burger join made so famious by Sir Mix-A-Lot! I LOVE IT
Where's the BK – The kind of place you go to after a night on the town. I don't live around this area and frankly I'd rather go to JIB. This is truely a place for locals who are used to cheap burgers and soggy fries. I was looking forward to having a Dicks burger and was dissapointed. There was not nuch taste them and the pigons were more than happy to eat the fries. I don't recommend Dick's.
Smartest place in town! – If your total is $5.85 and you give the clerk six ones and a dime, you immediately get back a quarter! I've seen lots of places where that maneuver would get you blank stares and then the clerk pulls out a piece of paper to figure out why you gave the money you did. THis is a great place to support. Highest fast-food wages and money for college. Oh, and the food: Nothing beats a Dick's burger, fries, and a shake in your car on Holman Road.
ok – Forget the diet. Dick's Drive In is a cheap eat whether you are on Capital Hill or Queen Anne Hill. The burgers are small so more than one is necessary. The fries are some of the greasiest one will find. There shakes do contain real ice cream so better that than there fountain drinks.
Great Burgers – One of the best if not the best burgers in the area, I really enjoy the fast service and good food that I get everytime I stop. I just wish that there were more of them in the Puget Sound area. I live in the South Puget Sound area and if I want a burger I have to go into Seattle to get one. I do wish that they would expand a little more.
get full for 2 bucks – dicks is a good cheap place to eat with some of the best burgers and fries around .where else can you eat lunch or dinner for 2 dollars and get full.
ahh! – The best fries in town and great burgers and shakes at great prices... what more can you ask for??
