Dick's Drive-In is an iconic Seattle institution that's faithfully served the city the classic American combo of burger and fries since the 1950s. The Wallingford branch is the oldest and has been a neighborhood favorite since 1954. The take-away restaurant usually features long lines, though they move quite quickly. The retro ambiance and old-fashioned menu only add to the charm. Opt for a Dick's Deluxe Burger with a side of fries, washed down with a milkshake made the old-school way; be sure to leave your diet at home for ... read more

Most awesome thin fried spud in Emerald – Hands down, no matter what time of day or who you share it with, Dicks Drive-In allways come through. Hands down the most famous place for the teens. The most favorite place to curb your munchies. No matter how busy, you can always know you will get the best and quickest service you could ask or ever receive.
Dick's dissapointment – I found the burgers to be tasteless and plain. Very dissapointing after all the hype.
Three words: Yuk, Yuk, Yuk! – Greasy limp fries, school cafeteria of the 80's tasting burger patties, and stale buns. The only tasty thing in the joint is the tarter sauce.
good cheap food – I have been doing business there since when I was in high school and that was 1956. They always have good food, service, and it is always clean
Have it their way, like it or not! – Sure, the food here is cheap, but what's the point if it's also inedible. Plus, the "deluxe" burger has only about half as much meat as a Big Mac or a Whopper, so it ain't that much of a bargain. And where do they find the completely flavorless cheese they put on top. Also, I hate mayo, but when I asked for a burger without, I was told they all had to be made the same way. How hard is it to NOT put something on a burger? The fries were limp, mushy, and also flavorless. I found better frie... read more
Greasey Burger Alert!! – When you want a greasey burger and real fresh cut fries..you can't beat Dick's Drive In. Cheap, greasey, and heavenly. Good late night, "I should eat something before going home" food. Entertaining cliental at the Broadway location. Great grease at all locations...and real potatoes!
Even the birds know this – You just don't get better burgers and fries than here. Even the pigeons know this and are very fat and happy to hang out there.
Those are tasty? – I've tried Dick's, and well, in all honesty, they're not that great, I've had better home cooked fries. Mind you, by the time I ate them, the grease had congealed already....
Best Fries?! Ha! – The fries are the greasiest, soggiest and flimsiest I have ever seen. They are so flimsy that I could tie them into knots without breaking a single fry. From all of the raves I heard, I was expecting better fries. If you want good fries, just go to Wendy's, BK or Mc Donalds. But Dicks?! Ha! How did it get nominated for best fries?
