I was searching for a ophthalmologist to perform cataract surgery and found Dr. Shiba. She was given a 5 star rating so I waited 2 months just to get a preliminary consult. After finding out that I was a candidate for the surgery, I waited another month just to get her between her busy schedule. It was worth the wait! I was given the gift of a clearer and more detailed vision than I could have ever imagined. Yesterday, I agreed with my surgeon Ms. Diana Shiba, M.D. that my left and right eye Cataract surgeries went well. So, I am unable to overlook my Doctor Shiba and her team at Kaiser Permanente for their outstanding and kind experiences. A grateful patient Brian.
Having general apprehension about surgeries, and this being a cataract surgery, I casted my net wider to find the best competent surgeon as possible. When I found Dr. Shiba, I decided to go under her care even though that meant that I had to travel to another city. Dr. Shiba is a busy doctor, but I am glad that I waited to be operated by her. Dr. Shiba performed cataract surgery on both eyes and I am thrilled with the results! Dr. Shiba was friendly, professional, answered all of my questions and made me feel relaxed about the procedures. When I had my post surgery eye exam, the Dr. who examined me raved about what an excellent job Dr. Shiba had done, as I had no inflammation and almost perfect 20 20 distance vision. I am happy to recommend Dr. Shiba to anyone who is considering cataract surgery!
