We had a change in plans and took 10 folks there for lunch today. Our meat eaters were grumpy when they ordered, but quickly changed their minds when they ate the food. Way exceeded all our expectations. What a treat for us Baltimore folk!
My first time there food was delicious, but I noticed that the white patrons received a different greeting and were approached differently than the ones of color. I just observed didn't say anything my son was glad to try this place. Well tonight we did it again mac and cheese was better first time. When our food came I asked for pepper, not sure if she was owner or she wasn't a server she was rude and seemed put out about my request. Great food, can’t wait to go back. Nice people, we were seated quickly and food was brought to us in a timely manner.
WOW!! We were amazed by the menu options, flavors, and quality!! Everything was fantastic and the veggie burger made my mouth water! All the same satisfaction of heart warming soul food without the fat and guilt. And the Mac & cheese was some sort of secret magic. Better than “normal” Mac & cheese. Whole-food, plant based living for the win!! We will be back, and likely become weekly regulars lol

The food at Detroit Vegan Soul provides a party for your palate, delicious! I would highly recommend DVS, excellent!
the food was very good....the service so so, there were 5 of us...delivered food to 1, then 3, and then the last persons food ...and there was a wait in between all three deliveries... i had to remind the server the food was up and the bell had been rung. and she said she was "still waiting for the order" when in fact it was up ...that is what bothered me and the reason for the review........ ..... ...she also forgot to place the last order .......but I will be back....I had a simple grilled cheese with jalapenos and tomato ... read more

Been to both locations for dinner. Kind of a long wait, but oh my gosh SO worth it! You guys are a game changer in vegan restaurants and have THE BEST vegan Mac n cheese! So much love and care put into your food � staff is always really friendly and down to earth. I love your restaurants and I really hope you guys have major success.
