Whereas his bedside manner was terrible (as was my review), I only feel that it is fair that I come back to remark on his work. He really did do a great job with my Mohs surgery. A 4” incision on my clavicle can barely be seen just 4 months after surgery. Super job.

I arrived for Mohs surgery after a skin cancer diagnosis and was numbed with several painful injections to my nose, which made me cry. While fully prepped and moments before the procedure, I casually said, “I hope I won’t have a scar on my nose.” A staff member then told me it would leave a large, permanent scar—and that I should have arranged a plastic surgeon to close the wound. He toggles back and forth between behaving like a petulant child and an arrogant, egotistical narcissist. He continuously talked over me, didn’t allow me to express questions and concerns. He spoke to me through the nurse, “tell her that…”. “Explain to her that…” etc. while the three of us were in the room. I wasn’t worthy of being spoken to directly. Appointment was set and confirmed for 4pm. Arrived at 3:45pm. Signed in and handed the clip board to the receptionist, who thanked me and then advised me to “have a seat and I’ll call you when im ready for you”. After sitting there for an hour, and watching at least a dozen others called in as i was sitting there waiting, i approached the receptionist. My husband and I drive from Vero Beach to see this doctor because of his reputation as a great Mohs surgeon. I have had four Basel cell Mohs surgeries by Dr. Krathen. Two on my face, one on my chest and one on my leg. All successful!! Dr Krathen called me at home after each procedure ensuring I was well and comfortable. Absolute waste of time. Doesn’t provide any treatments in the office. She only recommends trendy supplements and sends you back to your primary care doc.
