The finest dining in and around Robertson County. When Mr. Elliott built his grocery store in his yard in 1922, then known as The Brick Storehouse, who would have known the building would eventually be the home of Springfields premier dining house known now as Depot Bar & Grill. In 1943, Mr. Elliotts son Otto, took the store over and changed the name to Elliotts Store. Really good food and great service! It was really a full house but we were seated right away!
We have been going to the Depot since it originally opened. In the last 6-8 months we have noticed a steady decline in the service. Last night was the third time, recently, we called ahead to be placed on the "call ahead list." At least for us, it has not mattered at all. After telling them 4 times we were waiting at the bar, we again were skipped over. Took 10 minutes to get our waters, once seated. Three times during dinner we had to "flag down" a waiter, for items, since nobody came to check on our progress.
Food was great!! Locals seem to love this place too.
Not only is the food great, the owner and staff is fantastic also!
Great laid back atmosphere. Off of the beaten path. Worth the ride from Nashville for a great casual dining experience! Will definitely be back.

The best meal we have ate in the last 1500 miles everywhere we ate was dry expensive and awful service pull in off i24 on our travels and into the parking lot lil curly haired kid sit us out side nice quit. the girl waiting on us was nice friendly quick with drinks and salads the 12oz steak was juicy and just right amount of seasoning onion rings where on point I got side of jalapeños wouldn't recommend unless you can handle hot and I'm talking fresh from Mexico fertilized with ghost pepper water prices were decent defiantly... read more
