Dr Tsaknis recommended removing a wisdom tooth as part of "preventative"dentistry, in case it might get a cavity. Why not remove all my teeth? Dr. Tsaknis was very rough in removing an old filling, and the new one was not put in correctly. He replaced two fillings in ten minutes, if that is any indication. I had trouble with my bite, and my tooth is now both cold and heat sensitive. I have been back several times to see if it can be fixed. There seems to be a high chance I will require a root canal.
Tsaknis permanently damaged my teeth. hopefully my malpractice law suit will put him out of business soon.
Pompous arrogant money driven focus is on his personal adventures and expenditures
Other than cleanings, I had 3 fillings done by Dr. Tsaknis. He did not use any form of numbing, said it was "better for me" so I would be able to eat afterwards. Not having had a filling for a long time, I said ok, thinking how painful could it be. Incredibly. I won't be doing that again! The right side of my mouth where I had the fillings continued causing me pain, over a month after it was done and after 3 "adjustments" (I was not able to chew on that side without a stinging sensation). Dr. Tsaknis is an excellent dentist with an excellent chairside manner. He has a nice way about him, a good sense of humor, he explains things well, he's extremely competent, and he always smells like soap. His office will research costs regarding insurance and will do the insurance paperwork for you for a small fee (which many dentists in the area don't offer for any money). He's done a couple of root canals, a crown replacement on an old crown that broke, and a couple of fillings. I recommend him without hesitation.
Beautifully kept, modern office. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and the dentist is thorough.
Competent, approachable; modern facilities. But, last yr : '09 - '10, noticed a change. He's beginning to act like a used-car salesman. He's showing less interest in me, the patient and more in what services he can tack on -- necessary or not. Noticed this in my last two visits. Since it's no longer convenient for me to get to, I'm taking this opportunity to change dentists.
He saved teeth that other dentists were about to pull. He gives you treatment OPTIONS and YOU choose what is best for YOU. He's great, as is his office staff.
Doc has state of the art facilities but seems busier building his practice than treating patients. Went in for a filling and doc left room several times to see other patients. Left room again before I was done and let his assistant finish - she did not know what to know. As a result, I have a badly fitting filling and get food stuck between teeth all the time.
