Dr. Schutte is very personable, explained medical information clearly, and addressed my questions. He invited me to contact him directly with an update on my condition. My only critique would be with the phone receptionist. Twice she told me she would check with the medical staff for the timing of my appointment and call me back. Neither time did I receive a phone call the same day. I understand it is a very busy office. My recommendation would be that she communicate that it may take 24 hours to get a return call. I very much appreciate how smooth my visits to Dr. Schuette work. Waiting times are minimal, especially once I have been taken back for x-rays and such. Lovely staff!

I had a severely damaged right hip and a local Orthopedic Surgeon referred me to Dr. Schutte since he's an EXPERT in joint reconstruction. I wasn't terribly happy with having to travel 70 miles to Mt. Pleasant, SC but my travel concerns took a back seat when I awakened in Recovery with ZERO PAIN and could move both feet.....WOW!! A two week post-op visit and a total of 6 weeks on a walker while doing basic exercises daily have me walking well with minimal assistance from my cane while I "re-learn" how to walk......WOW AGAIN!... read more
Everything about my visit was reassuring, competent, professional, kind, and thorough. I liked each one of the people I came in contact with, including and especially Dr. Schutte. He has a very good team.
Between my wide and I Dr. Schutte has done three knees and one Hip replacement. each time everything went very well. He and his staff are excellent and make sure things go as smooth as possible. Honestly we hope to never need another joint replacement but if we do, Dr Schutte and Charleston Institute for Advance Orthopedics will be the ones to do it.
