My 11 year old daughter was taken here from our Orange County home. It was her first time in a hospital and I agree with the reviews. It was impossible to get any treating physician or psychiatrist, as her Mom, I was never once contacted by the hospital or any treating care provider. I called daily and after her three day hold the hospital held my daughter without cause. Mental Health: Abuse, neglect, and intimidation. My daughter was sent to Del Amo 23700 Camino Del Sol, Torrance, CA 90505. While at this facility on 10/30/19 she was punched in the head 4 to 7 times by another patient. This resulted in her being out of it and dizzy for an hour, blurred vision, and ringing in her ears. This facility has had my granddaughter there for two days. We are her guardians and have been trying to contact Dr Fadel. No one has called us for two days to update her status. We called the doctor and facility trying to find out what treatment has been applied and for how long. It is going on the third day, still waiting to know her status. It is scary to think they are mental health professionals but keep a child without contacting the family on how the treatment plan is going. Very angry.

This place is helpful I was at this hospital like 6 to 9 times and they helped me out big time
Do not ever use this place. Read the link below regarding other UHS facilities; this place is apparently like the others. Voluntary inpatients being put on 72 hour holds after being told they could request discharge at any time. Patients checking in for psychiatric care then not actually getting to talk with a psychiatrist for days on end. This place needs to be shut down. http://uhsbehindcloseddoors.org/
