Originally built in 1852, Degas House has been carefully restored down to the finest detail, in an effort to recreate the home in which Edgar Degas painted many of his finest works of art. This tribute to Degas affords guests a romantic intimacy and Creole elegance, while displaying the Crescent City through his eyes. There are a total of 60 works hung throughout the entire house. You are assured to have a comfortable stay in their artistically designed rooms, equipped with basic amenities.

From the beautiful entrance, to the wonderful feeling of one’s being welcomed into Degas’s home, the love of the place goes with being there for one day and two nights. Their style, class in honoring a rich tradition of hospitality was in this rich home’s history. I had my Halloween 2018 wedding here! The staff is amazing and inviting if you need to host a event here. It’s a lovely venue with so much history and my guests were in love with the place. Thank you so much for working with me on my destination wedding and making it beautiful on your property! I had to come back later for my wedding props the next day. Not only did they hold the items there for me but their Maintence guy (I didn’t catch his name but he was amazing too) helped me walk it out during heavy rain to my car. Thos... read more
What a great place to spend my birthday weekend....beautiful old house....lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and wonderful staff....Miss Sheryl and Miss Denise....well, they are the best. Both of these ladies made our stay so very pleasant. Also, we liked the cat out front!! Thank you Degas House for a memorable stay.
