Who knew in New Orleans, that Edgar Degas maternal mother and grand mother were LOUSIANA CREOLE'S! This is the family home in New Orleans, where he visited in 1872/1873 and was inspired to paint 18 paintings, the start of the Impressionism movement on Esplanade Avenue. Now the only home of Edgar Degas, in the world, open to the public, with daily tours hosted by his Great-Grand Nieces daily.
