The staff at the front desk and restaurant were extremely kind, and the food was very good. The outdoor spaces were great as well. However, the inside of the lodge needs A LOT of TLC and cleaning! My husband and I were booked for two nights but only stayed for one because our room was not clean and the bed was so uncomfortable. We couldn't even enjoy our balcony because it was overrun with cobwebs. The fixtures in the bathroom were rusted and had calcium deposits which caused them to spit and spray water. We love Deer Creek, and will return several times each year. I wish there was a humane organization that could help with the resident cats. The staff informed me that they aren't allowed to feed them, so it leaves them to rely on hand-outs from guests and eating out of dumpsters. There are at least 4 around the lodge, including 2 kittens, and I understand that there are Siamese cats that live around the campground. As a huge animal lover, I think they deserve a better life than this and I would be willing to help out any way... read more
I love Deercreek lodge been coming for the last 2 or 3 years never been disappointed. Can't wait to come again.
Thank you Deer Creek Lodge Staff for a wonderful weekend. Even with a large group , you rocked !!! This is a beautiful state park run by a group of wonderful and caring staff. We will definitely return for another visit. A pat on the back to all.
Lodge is in major need of updates. Staff was very courteous but understaffed to keep up with such a big place. Rooms were dusty with cobwebs everywhere. It needs some TLC and hard cleaning but the views of the lake are very nice. Breakfast at Rafter's was great. Not a huge amount for a family to do in the "off season". I'd suggest going in the summer. Or, better yet, camping at the campground.
We stayed in the one of the lodge rooms with a lake view and it was really nice. Fantastic view, comfortable beds; just really nice. We can't wait to visit again!
We have been coming almost every fall and spring for 3 years. Love the updates we saw this weekend. My only complaints is the dinner menu needs more of a selection and it would be awesome if there was room service. Also, I know y'all are slowly still working on updating rooms ect. Room 221 needs a new shower nozzle. We love the bike rentals, but it would rock if ya had baby carrier's that hook to back of bikes. That would rock
Came up here Friday for a Wedding Saturday evening. We all had the best time ever. the Staff is awesome.
Went there this weekend for a 45th anniversary party. It was beautiful! Staff was amazing and the views are awesome!
