I don't even know where to begin. We were looking for a bbq place to cater a double wedding for myself and my sister. Chris at David's was referred to us by the woman we were hired for our cakes, I contacted him the next day and he responded so quickly. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly he responded everytime I contacted him. We met with him for a tasting and the food was absolutely amazing! Poor service, the cashier/register got upset when I was dining in, it was an hour to closing time. My food was cold and tasted old and hard. I'm never going back there.
David's is the best BBQ in town! They also support the Gainesville community and High School sports like GHS Baseball. Thank you!
Awesome! Best barbecue in town, hands down! Pork sandwich on garlic toast with coleslaw and some hot barbecue sauce is the way to go~
David's Real Pit BBQ catered our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The food was amazing, the price was right, and best of all, the staff was accommodating to our every need. They were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely quality food and outstanding service!
David's was one of the first places my family and I ate when we moved to Florida. A lot has changed here in Gainesville over the last 15 years, but David's hasn't. Still killer BBQ, still great specials that are actually REALLY good deals, and still THE VERY BEST customer service. I had Davids bbq from the restaurant on 23rd ave. It was the worst bbq I've had. The burnt ends were nothing but fat. The smoked turkey was like something from the deli at walmart. The collard green were cooked in nothing but water no meat or seasoning and the potato salad oh my. The baked beans were the best part of the meal. Don't forget the garlic bread was hard probably days old. I won't be back there.
