Mark, I understand that you are very upset with us and on a KILL DAVID REYNOLDS campaign. If your frustration is really based on thinking that we damaged your stone, we didn't. I have trusted my antique wedding band to Shane at David Reynolds Jewelry, when I lost a very small diamond. The ring came back perfect, polished, and looking better than when I received it 25 years ago. As the Executive Director of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, I know a large number of jeweler. Shane has been helpful when I have questions about techniques and does stunning work. My friends and I are excited that he chose to purchase the shop, because we would have followed him anywhere.

I have been a graduate gemologist for more years than I care to state I grew up in the business and worked for the first GIA graduate for years. I have taught gemology in Tampa since 1982. Further, in the years I taught, Shane was the only one I ever proctored who ever totally aced the GIA exams. I would trust him with anything I own..I recommend him to anyone who asks me. He is a gentleman, he is honest and he is one really fantastic designer.

I have been a dealer in Pinellas County for 33 years. I have taken the GIA diamond grading course . Do not ever take a stone here to be mounted . If they make a mistake they will not own up to it and it will be a costly mistake for you . The owner seems nice when they take your money , but have a problem and good luck . They keep a record of any complaints you make and will use it against you and tell you " you are fired as a customer " . I am flabergasted how they treated me . I LOVE David Reynolds Jewelry and I recommend them to all my friends. I was a customer when Ronnie and Earl owed the place and think that Shane is doing a wonderful job of keeping up the store’s excellent reputation. The store has a great selection of jewelry and their repair work is amazing. I have a necklace that my mother gave to me years ago and the clasp broke. When I picked up the necklace, I expected it to have just a new clasp - they polished and cleaned it so that it looked brand new!

I have been a customer at David Reynolds for the last 5 or so years, (mostly for coins and bullion but also for some jewelry repairs.) I have found the staff to be courteous, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I have tried some of the other stores in Tampa Bay and David Reynold's prices are consistently the most competitive.

I have dealt with david reynolds a few times and its obvious they try to gauge your knowledge for exploitation instead of being fair to all customers...its a glorified pawn shop...very inconsistent, one guy will tell you one thing and the other gay will tell you something else ...unless you are over the age of 50 or an obvious member of the gay community these guys will try to rob you blind...if you are between the ages of 18 and 40 they treat you like you are a thief the moment you walk thru the door....if you are shopping ... read more
