I was a little nervous going into the office about my knee. Dr. Herman really made me feel comfortable made sure I was OK while he was giving me a knee injection, and didn’t push knee replacement on me which I know I will need at some point . I am thankful that Middlesex health placed me with him. I would recommend him to anyone.!
My knees were so bad I could hardly walk. I was morbidly obese. Dr Hergan advised me to first lose weight then discuss surgery. Meanwhile he gave me knee injections to relieve the pain. I lost 40 pounds and we decided to avoid surgery and treat with periodic injections. It was a perfect solution for me.
Dr. Hergen is "the best" - he replaced my left hip in 2021 and my right hip in 2023. Well done - very professional and caring. I would recommend him to any one . Thank you Dr. Hergen.

I arrived at Dr. Hergen's are in a wheelchair, and now am able to walk confidently with stability and no pain after he performed an anterior hip replacement. Since then he has also surgically repaired a rotator cuff on one shoulder, and treats the other with intermittent cortisone shots as needed. I highly recommend Dr. David Hergan for orthopedic surgical procedures. In August 2021, Dr. Hergan completed a total right hip replacement on me at Middlesex Health. That surgical procedure has changed my life very much for the better. Since my Knee replacement surgery, I am much more comfortable! I knew by day 2 after having surgery I made the right decision. My pain has decreased and I was already walking better. Dr. Hergan has great bedside manner and takes his time to listen to me and makes me very comfortable when explaining my issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Hergan for your Orthopedic concerns.
