I first came to Dr. McCord 10 years ago after a neck injury. He diagnosed the problem and did surgery in 2009. I had a full recovery without needing extended pain medication. I have returned to his office for a lower back proble because the first surgery did so well. My wife said if she ever had a back or neck problem she would come to Dr. McCord too.
My daughter-in-law found Dr. McCord on the internet after other doctors would not treat me as it was less than a year after my first surgery. The first surgeon dismissed me after 2 visits and said time would help even though I could hardly get out of bed, I had to use a cane, I had constant stabbing pain, and I was so depressed. He callously said "If you need to see me again, call for an appointment". Thank goodness Dr. McCord stepped in. I now have full relief with no pain medication.
I had 2 operations by David McCord, one in 2014 and one to repair the first operation in 2015. I came out of the first operation and my right leg was completely paralyzed, no use of it. The second operation was to repair the first. I now have drop foot added to the other. In 2016, I finally got to see another Dr. His words was that I had had too much unnecessary surgery and that nothing could be done to fix it. I had back and leg pain when I went to him, but it is 100 times worse now.
Business response:
Dr. McCord cannot reply with detailed information from this patient's chart to dispute the above commentary due to HIPPA regulations. However, if he could, readers would understand the commentary has inaccuracies that unfairly discredit Dr. McCord and lower his ratings without merit.
Dr. Mccord is pretty good Dr. I came to him with leg, foot and hip pain. He diagnosed my problem after performing a few test at Nothcrest Hospital. The only issue i had was he is always in a rush to see the next patient and uses the nurses to answer most of your questions. I will have surgery in less than 4 days he is performing ALIF and PLIF procedure. Im hoping the surgery works well and my experience with him has been good so far.
I feel that Dr. David McCord, Dr. Reva and staff are wonderful people. I was told by several doctors that I would have to live with chronic dibilitating pain for the rest of my life. As a 40 year old nurse, I was unwilling to accept that as the final answer. After much prayer, I feel that God led me to Dr. McCord's office. 6 weeks ago, he repaired my lumbar spine. It has already made a huge positive impact on my life. Thank you for giving me my life back Dr. McCord!
I have had spinal surgery with Dr. McCord, and he is just a very wonderful doctor...very patient, and answers any questions you may have for him. My surgery went very well, and I have had wonderful results from his surgery.
McCord has no respect for his patients' time or money. His office reschedules appointments without notifying the patient, and he blows off appointments at the last minute--while the patient is waiting in the office! If he can't solve your problem easily, he will keep scheduling expensive, invasive tests until you are broke. He is quick to dismiss anything involving a woman's anatomy as a female problem that has nothing to do with the patient's messed-up spine. His office also lost my chart.
