Dr. Jho, and his wonderful staff, are the best. Some surgeons are just plain "gifted". I have severe multi-level cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis, and Dr. Jho has kept me working as an anesthesiologist. This has all been accomplished with minimally-invasive endoscopic procedures without the need for fusion, hardware, or any significant amount of postop narcotics. He has been well worth the extensive international search I made at the start.
I had a c5-6 anterior foraminotomy and cord decompression done in Feb. 2020.I originally went to Dr. Jho after finding a perfect description of my headaches on his website and hoped he could fix the daily headaches I have had for10 years. After reviewing my MRI, he decided the above disc needed to be fixed first since it was the worst, and assured me this was just the starting point and he would fix the other discs/pain issues with additional surgery. The surgery did fix my shoulder pain. October, 2020 I make the trip to Pit... read more
My visit with Dr. Jho was such a let down. I waited for months to see him so he could be the best doctor to help me. He treated me so cold and gave me the Bumsruch. He never examined me or cared about my problem. Even if he apologized I would never let him touch me. He is a very mean man with no respect for a patient in pain.
I had an increasingly numb arm and hand and found that my C5 was not only pinching the nerves to my arm but also creating pressure inside my spinal column. I woke up fixed with minimal pain after the initial surgery as it took about 40 minutes after surgery for the staff to realize I was in severe pain ( I believe that was due to Dr. Jho having to work around my enlarged thyroid) but that was handled and the rest of my visit was outstanding. Dr . Jho is a truly remarkable and talented surgeon for these minimally invasive tec... read more
Told me that people who are on pain meds can not be operated on or they will have a stroke like one of his patients who is now brain dead because he was on demoral before a surgery and could not handle the pain after surgery. He knew I went to pain management but still scheduled an appt.
I was hopeful that seeing Dr Jho would provide more insight to my diagnosis of spinal stenosis and bone spurs pressing on the nerve. He wouldn't give me an appointment until he reviewed my MRIs and physicians notes. I spent more time with his PA, who thought I had a hip problem. I saw Dr Jho for less in five minutes. He negated what was dx'd with MRIs, told me to lose weight and my symptoms would be less, really? Dr Jho presented as rude, mean, and disinterested. We are still in shock!!
Came from Florida to Pittsburgh based on excellent results of several other physicians and their family with Dr. Jho. Flew up on Su, met with him and his team on Mo, had surgery on Tu, flew home on We. I had L4-5 microdiskectomy. I had immediate symptom relief, required no pain medication other than one dose of Percocet the afternoon of the surgery. I express the greatest confidence in him and his team. I found him very direct, but insightful and balanced in his discussion of the surgery.
Dr. Jho and his team (Drs. Patrick, Philip & Morgan, Robin & Michael) are top notch, and at the top of their field. They are thorough & honest in assessments, and deliver on their projected results without over-promising. My Mom had surgery yesterday, and is already seeing increased mobility. We expect continued improvements as she recovers. We traveled from Georgia to have Dr. Jho's leadership & expertise, and it was a great decision. Alleghany General Hospital also provides stellar care.
The BEST. The best receptionists, PA's, he gave me my life back, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Namaste~ Dawn
