Dave's Express is STILL the best Dave's Express is the best for all things yummy. I didn't want to graduate college knowing I could no longer have the best steak & cheese delivered at 3am. Alas, I did graduate, but when i return for JMU games and special occasions I ALWAYS make a point to visit Dave's Express. Highly recommend: Steak & Cheese, Veggie Pitas, Bruschetta and the white pizza. Ohhhhh Dave's, I miss you.
don't order daves Dave's express service is horrible, especially if you get delivery. I called to speak to the manager about the screw up in my delivery order but he's "too busy to come to the phone" and no one seems to care!
Dave's, only awesome if you are. Great food, ridiculously awesome employee's, late night drunken haven, all with the possibility of have beer and cigs delivered to your door. I love the burgers, nobody else in town delivers a burger. People love this junk.
Dave's Taverna Express is Gross I love Dave's downtown but this is nothing like it. My order was missing parts, and there was nothing I asked for on my steak and cheese. They said 30-40 minutes for delivery but it took over an hour and the fries were cold. The sauce that was supposed to be on the pasta was actually all in the bottom of the bag. foods good I'll say that the food here is good. I don't like the open seating mixed with Dairy Queen and the being attached to a convenience store thing though. It's loud, there are children running all over the place with little or no supervision and that's not really good for the appetite. This would still be fine if it were a little inexpensive sub shop, but it's not inexpensive. While reasonable enough for a sit down meal, I don't think so for this type of atmosphere. . As far as the delivery aspect of Dave's goes it sucks. I have to leave my office to go and get the order why is it called delivery when they don't bring it to you. I mean going to the lobby to get it is ok but when I am busy and 15 calls are coming in at once life can get hectic. On another note the food sucks, When you get the food back to your office to eat it it's either cold or over cooked and dry
