I was quite anxious about having my molar removed. I couldn’t sleep. As I was in the waiting area the next day, I thought to myself,” I’d rather be having a baby than a molar removed!” I am 67. Dr. Godwin is very professional. He explained EVERYTHING in detail before, during and after. After numbing the area, it literally took less than 5 minutes to remove!!! Tried to get an appt with him. They rescheduled me 3 times. Not going to see or trust a doctor that dose this with a new patient and the staff in the office couldn't care less. Too bad I don't have UPMC insurance. I would look elsewhere.
If you're considering treatment from him, make sure he's in a good mood because if not, he might perform a procedure without numbing or showing care. It was a frightening experience for me. During the procedure conducted by his resident, an honest mistake occurred. When I returned seeking help, he treated me poorly, dismissing my concerns. When I asked to file a complaint, I was isolated with his nurse, who made notes but didn't follow standard complaint procedures. I had a problem with an impacted wisdom tooth and cyst. Since I was 73 years old, I was concerned about what to do. My dentist, Dr. Haspel, recommended I see Dr. Dalton. Dr. Dalton and his team did a terrific job. They had to remove a molar to get access to the wisdom tooth and I was put under general anesthesia for the procedure. I literally had no pain and things have gone well in the 15 months since the procedure, which was done at Allegheny General.
Dr Godwin explained the procedure thoroughly, and patiently answered all my questions. The procedure, which I was very anxious about went smoothly. I experienced minimal pain during my recovery, and I could not be happier with what I had anticipated to be a very traumatic experience. In short, I found him to be caring and empathetic and I could not recommend him enough.
Dr Godwin a fantastic dentist, had all teeth extracted, bone grafting, literally no pain after surgery!
Had 2 separate surgeries he was there for me the whole way through awesome and nice doctor!!!
The only oral surgeon I will see or refer others to.
Staff is great. Office is clean. Dr. Dalton is fantastic. He explains things in a way that you understand. He’s patient with you. He gives you options. I can go on and on. He’s just amazing.
