I had spine surgery to repair a disc at age 83 and I am very happy with the outcome. I’m able to stand, walk and exercise without pain. I have heard from many people that didn’t have relief after back surgery but I would highly recommend Dr Barba. Dr Barba has greatly improved my quality of life.
During the whole process Dr Barba was very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. He was very positive about everything and took the time to explain everything to me.

At the age of 60, I wanted to see how heavy I could get in weight training but the price I paid was costly. I damaged 3 disks and ongoing pain in my sciatica. In talking with other friends, many tried to discourage my to go the surgery route. DR.BARBA ----- AMAZING. Before surgery I was only able to walk 1/2 of a block and was in excruciating back pain and numbness in feet and legs. Thanks to Dr Barba and his associates at Palomar Health, and AllStar Therapy I can now walk for miles. Although I am not 100% pain free all the time, my current condition is a vastly improved and getting better. Thanks to Dr. Barba for giving me my life back. Very professional and informative.
Has a very pleasant bedside manner. Explains everything so that I could understand him. Spent time with me and answered my questions. At time of surgery again came in and asked if I had any more questions. After surgery checked in on me a few times to make sure all my needs were being met. At follow up visit again made sure everything was okay.
Dr Barba was very knowledgeable and clearly laid out options and answered my questions in a way I could understand.
It was great. He explained everything very well so I could understand what to expect before and after the procedure.
