2 hips .... first 2004 and second 2011. I can't believe the results. No pain and going strong 13 years later. I don't think you could find a better team. For someone who was very apprehensive in the beginning I am grateful that I picked the right surgical team.
Because of Dr. Mears, I've been able to live a normal life. He saved my foot! He's done several operations on me and I trust him with my life. I just flew from Vegas to Pittsburgh 2/24/2017 for HIM to do my hip surgery. I could NEVER trust anyone but HIM. He's direct, detailed, specific with outcome and he's honest. Our hard one was fusing my foot. I was 22, and no heels wasn't what I wanted to hear. But he supported me, wiped my tears and we made it through. But I HAVE MY FOOT. I LOVE HIM.
I had leech total knnneee mmiiniiimal invasive. 2010 did fantastic with him. Excellent staff excellent meticulous surgeon no complaints only praise. Going for right knee this year. I am rn for 22 Years only go to the best surgeons. Dr Mears is that excellentt. Nicktown pa Heidi rn
I had MIS-2 performed by Dr.Mears in May of 2012 and close to 4 years later I can barely walk due to him severely stretching my Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve. This surgery is nothing more than a marketing tool used by him and other surgeons. They don't tell you it's not a surgery for very muscular patients. I later found this out by research when I realized he did something to me out of the ordinary. I told him about it and his response was everyone has a little numbness.
Good surgeon and tells you exactly what he is going to do. Total hip replacement in 2004 and still going strong in 2016. :) Trying to get in to see him in 2016 cause i need my other hip done. Great doctor and yes he is very professional.
I was so excited to get a new hip. He actually said yes. That was the only good part, and getting home same day of operation. Getting to his office was horrible, wait time was horrible, trying to get someone to answer his phone and returning calls horrible. A year later I do have very little hip pain (I'm 41), however my leg itself feels like someone just hit it will a ballbat 24/7 I went back to see him 4Mo later he tells me it is what it is. Seeing a new guy tomorrow
He is the MOST EFFICIENT, FANTASTIC SURGEON who has EVER worked on me. The anesthesia team was also FANTASTIC. He is an excellent, skilled surgeon who surrounds himself with people who are also the best! There are no words I know to express my gratitude to him for my left hip replacement. He is a miracle-maker!
