Six years after rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Guttmann, and sixteen years after the first RC surgery (by a different surgeon), pain has become uncomfortable again. Dr. Guttmann has made my life, on and off the tennis court, much more comfortable by administering two successive steroid shots to the involved shoulder at 4mo interval. He has suggested a platelet rich plasma injection for the next recurrence. I'll gladly put myself in his care then, and in the future.
I had Arthroscopic surgery by Dr Gutmann on both shoulders (for rotator cuff tears) followed by physical therapy. Both procedures worked well.
Dr. Guttman, is a very excellent surgeon he explains himself very well and is also a very good listener he explains to where you can understand. He has preformed two shoulder surgeries on me the last five years after this surgeries I have never FELT better. My injuries were quite sever and painful the physical therapy the Doc recommends is to the T I guarantee you will get well , by the way I'm a 78 year old female from Las Vegas New Mexico. Dr. Guttmann was very thorough in explaining the shoulder surgery to me. He was very professional and caring, listening to and answering all my questions in a way I could understand. With follow up with physical therap after surgery, my shoulder is now good as new with no pain to use it.
Dr. Guttmann is a very experienced dr. He is a very good surgeon and explains him self well. after going through surgery in October my shoulder has never felt better. the severity of my injury was quite sever and he was able to completely repair all the damage that was done to my shoulder. The healing process went quite well because of the Physical Therapy that I went through and most of all because of all the exercises I did at home. Thank you Dr. Guttmann and all your staff.
I had multiple shoulder surgeries throughout my life and needed a complete shoulder replacement. 6 months after surgery I am pain free and my range of motion is excellent.
