Dr. Guttmann repaired the rotator cuffs and biceps tendons of both my shoulders. The surgeries, separated by about 2 years and the last in August 2018, were fully successful. Dr. Guttmann was kind, knowledgeable, and skillful. The surgical facility and the staff in Taos were also very good.
Dr. performed arthroscopic surgery on the rotator cuff of my left shoulder and reattached one of the two biceps tendons. Given my age and the extent of damage, some of which was not shown on the pre-operational MRI, I was informed that the repair was a major undertaking and that the recovery would be longer than originally anticipated. Nevertheless following Dr. Guttmann's advice, time and physical therapy has allowed a full recovery of motion in my shoulder. I highly recommend Dr. Guttmann.
Dr. Guttman fixed my shoulder!!! He was clear, thorough, honest and a superb surgeon. Every morning I wake up and cannot believe I am pain free with full range of motion. Follow through with the physical therapy!
Dr. Guttmann cares about his patients and very friendly and good bed side manner. He repaired my left rotator cuff and biceps tendon.
Dr. Guttmann performed a rotator cuff repair on me on August 29, 2018. I can't say enough good things about him and his work. He did an excellent job with my shoulder and had a very caring bedside manner. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Guttmann operated on both of my shoulders. I am still in recovery from the last one. In both cases, I had very little pain and bleeding post op. After my right shoulder operation and rehab, I was able to play tennis with a full range of motion and no pain. I was extremely with the right shoulder outcome, and will know about the left shoulder in a couple of months.
My experience with Dr. Guttmann was exceptional. I had shoulder repair surgery years before by another surgeon, however, it was not successful. Dr. Guttmann did complete, reverse shoulder replacement and it was very successful. Very little pain. I have almost all my strength and range of motion back. My success was partially due to the use of the Game Ready machine that Dr. Guttmann highly recommended. Very little pain or swelling. I would definitely recommend Dr. Guttmann and his staff.
I suffered for 5 years with severe shoulder pain it had gotten to the point that I could not raise my pants after a visit to the rest room. At that point I decided no more. I went to see Dr. Guttmann and he recommended a reverse total left shoulder joint replacement. I had the surgery in December of 2017 and happy to say that I no longer have pain and I have full total movement. Thank you and bless you Dr. Guttmann, I highly recommend him. He has a pleasant personality good bedside manner.
