Excellent pediatrician. Cares deeply about children and their parents, patient and kind bedside manner, knowledgeable. Has helped us with multiple complex issues with our son. We’re really glad we chose Dr. Mitchell! The other doctors in the office, nurses, and front desk staff are also great. We haven’t had to wait more than 5 minutes.
Dr. Mitchell is the reason we go to Forest Lane Pediatrics, there are other pediatricians closer, but he has played a vital part in our children's lives. His bedside manner with our 10, 8, and 3 year old is amazing. We have seen him for 10 years, and look forward to another 15. He is truly an expert in his field and keeps up with current research. Our family always feels heard when we visit, and he takes time to talk to the kids, not just the parents, to get more information about the visit. Thank you so much Dr. Mitchell!
As a first time mom, I was extremely selective about who I allowed to interact with my child. Dr.Mitchell is great at his craft. It feels like he “predicts the future” because he tells me exactly what to expect of my child right before my child starts to exhibit new behaviors/symptoms in growth. It’s an additional bonus to have my child’s pediatrician be an African-American male. He is able to speak to data specific for black children. Thanks Dr. Mitchell for all that you do!
I’m disappointed with my experience with Dr. Mitchell. He was unresponsive to my concerns as to how long breastfeeding was taking which added barriers to me being able to get a tongue tie fixed, especially as a first time mom. This contributed to an extremely difficult first year of breastfeeding. He was also upset when I asked a single question about a vaccine and was short with me thereafter. Ultimately he was unhelpful.
