Deep red walls, funky art, fantastic food and a wine bar balcony make this downtown restaurant a local favorite. Chef/owner Tom Douglas, who also owns Etta's Seafood and Palace Kitchen, spares nothing to make the most interesting, flavorful, beautifully presented dishes. For appetizers, try the Scallion potstickers and Penn Cove Manila clams. Entrees feature numerous seafood selections and wood-grilled meats. Do not skip dessert. Douglas is renowned in Seattle for his coconut cream pie with white chocolate. Dinner is served ... read more

the best! – What a great experince nice folks on the phone and at the door. Service was professional and friendly. Food was AWESOME - best meal I have had in a long time. No wonder they are always so busy!
Consistently Good – Each bite is full of flavor, the crab cakes are outstanding along with the Somosa appertizers. The coconut cream pie is a great signature dessert. On the flip side the Halibut was dissapointing (bland), but that seemed to be the exception. The service varies-all are professional yet some make you feel more welcome than others.
Where's the flavor? – Food was bland and flavorless or bad on three visits. Waitress shouted our drink order across the room to th bartender. Tried the potstickers which don't hold a candle to the average teriyaki place around here. Lamb was too gamey. White bean soup was tepid and tasted like it had been poured our of a can. Crab cakes tasted like they'd had an unfortunate drowning incident in some anise. Dinner the first time cost over $100 without a bottle of wine!
Dahlia Delish – The dahlia Lounge has been one of my favorites in Seattle for years. The food is inventive, delicious and dependable. When I crave my favorites they never fail to be as good as hoped for.
Good Food – It was better before they moved. The bread salad is normally really great, was a little oily when we had it this last time. (first time since the move). Potstickers had a spicier sauce I think than another reviewer had. My crispy duck w/ 5 Spice BBQ was to die for- my boyfriend's beef was pretty good, but not very inspired, and the mushrooms as a side dish didn't cut it. Wine list is small, but comprehensive. Service has always had a little bit of a superior attitude. Drinks were great, lighting was good. Perhaps... read more
Best Coconut Cream Pie!! – The Dahlia Lounge is a quick walk from our favorite hotel, The Mayflower Park, and for a light meal, complete with dessert, we enjoy the crabcakes followed by the coconut cream pie.
It's Tom.... – Another Tom Douglas restaurant, what can you expect but to have a wonderful dining experience & great food. Seattle owes Tom alot!
Too many flavors – The food was exotic. I little too exotic for my taste. They used alot of spices and flavors that I didn't necessarily thought complimented each other. My boyfriend's lamb didn't taste right. It was gamey but the server had some more lamb cooked for him without question and was very curtious. The ambiance was terrific. I think I enjoyed that the most. My summary- I did not like the food.
Not Great, Not Bad – The menu is too limiited and very hit and miss. The wine list is extremely limited though reasonable priced. I found the food and ambiance to be much better before they moved into their new location.
