Dr. Smith started seeing our daughter when she was 17 months old. From our first visit with him in Morristown (several visits in the Morristown office) to all the visits in the Knoxville office, we were always treated very well. Dr. Smith always took his time to explain everything that was going on with her and our options, we never felt fushed during our visits. DR. Preston Smith has been my son's doctor for 12 years.We are very happy with him, would not think of seeing anyone else. We put our son in his hands the day he was born and we are still with him. Plan on staying many more years. Gibsons Keokee, Va.
I would not take my children to this doctor!! He was late getitng to the hospital the day of my babys surgery. He only took about 15 to 20 minutes of his time to perform the surgerys on him. He was called away to another hospital and hurried with what he was doing. Within a 15 hour period the surgery came undone and my baby was bruised and swollen to the point you couldnt even tell he was a male child! I painfully regret not having sued Dr. Preston Smith for medical malpractice. He ruined 7 years of my life. I am a bladder exstrophy patient. He sliced my bladder open during a botched scar revision surgery then couldn't fix it and left me totally incontinent for years until I finally found a competent urologist at Johns Hopkins. He lied to me about co-authoring a medical textbook with my original urologist (who was retired). This guy is top notch. We only had to wait maybe 15 minutes to get in to see him in Knoxville regarding a botched circumcision by another doctor. Very helpful; he went so far as to write the MD who erred a letter reprimanding her.
Visited him at a dirty office in Morritown, TN. Waited 2+ hours the first time. Did surgery in Knoxville and office was clean. Said he was not sure if hernia was fixed needed a follow up in a few months. Visited again in Morristown 2+ hour wait again. Made us feel stupid for bringing him in and said the only way to tell if the hernia was fixed was to go in again and look around. He waisted my time, his time, and my money!
