So my review from the debacle last weekend was deleted by Cycle Gear, after they commented that they do not agree with the way the store handled a major screw up. Thanks Cycle Gear, it gives me an opportunity to update the review. Don't go here!!!! ripped off a guy in our paddock big time yesterday after he wrecked and just went to grab a new helmet to ride. gave HIM the wrong size helmet in a box...then he brought it back when he realized the wrong size - mislabeled on the box AND visor...within like 2 hours of purchase....and they tried to claim he swapped out helmets and wouldn't return it. I know all Cycle Gear stores are different and this probably doesn’t apply to all, but this specific store is trash. Do not go here and find a different cycle gear if you can, or hey find a better organization to spend your money with. My best friend crashed at the track this weekend and needed a new helmet. At first we were excited that cycle gear was open....so he went out there. He bought a large helmet (knowing the size would fit since he’s used this helmet before). Soooo we are with hundreds of racers in the paddock at ACC. One of our licensed racer buddies crashes on an oil slick from a previous crash. Thankfully, he was good and due to the community at the track, got spare parts and the bike back together. Here is where Cycle Gear Tinley comes in to ruin an otherwise great day. He goes to buy a replacement helmet. As a previous Shoei owner, he knows to buy a matte black size Large. Gets back to the track, opens the box and preps the helmet, puts it on.
