In AUGUST 2024-JANUARY 2025, My dog, Lola, needed to see a cardiologist. Dr Peckens and Dr. Reuters were very patient and very good at explaining to me Lola's condition and how the heart works. What disappointed me is that when I e-mailed CVCA, it seemed like the Resident Dr. Alex Panattoni was always the one responding to my e-mails. I brought to his attention that Lola is having difficult breathing from the Pimobendan, and my research indicated that Pimobendan can cause difficult breathing. I recently took my little Tinkerbelle to CVCA in Vienna for a heart evaluation and echocardiagram. Working with the staff there to get the appointment set up was a joy, and when I arrived at the clinic, the receptionist staff and technicians were very friendly and professional. Dr. Pickens, who I knew from previous visits to CVCA, spent a lot of time with us, thoroughly explaining Tinkerbelle's condition and answering my questions. We now have a good follow-up plan which will have us returning to CVCA in 6 months.
I highly recommend this wonderful practice. The vet tech was super helpful and Dr Reuter was wonderful. He was so nice with my cat Flopsy and he explained her imaging results clearly. 10 stars.
