The cooking demo with Nita was a lot of fun, lots of bits of history, very interactive and above all delicious! Can't wait to go back and bring my family
Made my first Shrimp Étouffée from the recipe from the class. It turned out really great!!! Thank you.
My husband and I took the cooking class together the other day and had a marvelous time. It was fun, interesting and super informative! I can hardly wait to try my own hand at some gumbo, ettouffe and bread pudding. Nita, we stopped at Cafe des Amis in Breaux Bridge on the way home. We had BBQ shrimp, seafood gumbo, chicken & sausage gumbo, and the crawfish pie - OMG, it was terrific! Thanks for the suggestion. We'll be back for another class the next time we're in NOLA!
Be sure to visit here when you are in the area. It's a cook's paradise ;-)
Had a fantastic time taking the cooking class with my mom, Lula Price and sister, Karen Pangborn. Nita was very nice and funny along with her sidekick. Highly recommend.
Best Jambalaya & Pralines in the city! Thanks for all the great culinary tips. Can't wait to come back for another class!
The very best thing we did on our trip to NOLA this time. We learned Jambalaya, Gumbo, and Bananas Foster. Oh my! Everything we tasted just got better and better! Absolutely cannot wait to try my new "skills" out at home. Loved learning the recipes and even more about the history of the foods. Thank you, all.
Do not miss! My first ever cooking class but more than that really. A history lesson, a comedy and great food!
Awesome!!!
