Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream started in the back of our family restaurant, Thai Orchid Cafe, with one flavor: Coconut. After making ice cream for about 6 months as a simple dessert option, we noticed some customers were coming in to just buy the ice cream….and they didn’t order any Thai food. From there, we began serving our super premium ice cream at festivals, weddings, parties and schools. My family of four went on a Tuesday night and the parking area was PACKED but it's parking for several places and C&B was not too crowded. The atmosphere is great. We tried Super Fudge (bland and boring), Blueberry Lime Cheesecake (underwhelming), Chocolate Hazelnut (creamy, chocolatey, the best of the four we tried), Vanilla Bean (just ok). Two of us tried the waffle cones and one of them liked it and the other one hated it.
