Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream started in the back of our family restaurant, Thai Orchid Cafe, with one flavor: Coconut. After making ice cream for about 6 months as a simple dessert option, we noticed some customers were coming in to just buy the ice cream….and they didn’t order any Thai food. From there, we began serving our super premium ice cream at festivals, weddings, parties and schools. I had fresh buttermilk blackberry ice cream and honey bourbon ice cream in a thin crispy (and still warm) waffle cone. The mess was forgivable; the dessert was wonderful. My son had super fudge and 24 hours later I'm still hearing about it.
This place is one of my favorite small local businesses! The ice cream is "literally" the best! And the workers are always freindly! The spicy chocolate is my favorite!
