However, this was not the case for the treatment my loved one received at this hospital. From this point on our loved on will be referred to as "the patient". My son is an incomplete c-4 to c-7 SCI. He is paralyzed from the chest down. His hands and core also. His injury was July 2, 2017. He spent a week in ICU and a week in the nerve trauma center at st Mary's in grand junction. My husband and I were lost and scared, had no idea how to care for a 17 yr old quadriplegic.
