Be careful when you apply here!!! Be careful of the management at this place. I applied for an apartment and was put on the waiting list. I had to pay $150 and was told that $100 was refundable if they did not find me a place. However, when they did not find one in the time period I had applied for the management informed me that they do not refund the community fee at all. Very shady business practices.
Nice Apartments, Decent Price Country Oaks is in a great location with decent apartments. These apartments are located in the middle of Knoxville, allowing for a quick trip to both campus/downtown and also west knoxville. The apartments are great for a family starting out or a college student getting out of the dorms. PROS: great location, nice people, wide selection of apartment CONS: apartments are a little aged.
Can I give it ZERO stars? The management is constantly changing and they get shadier with every switch. The apartment had ROACHES and mice. The maintenance men won't actually fix anything that's broken (and the apartments are so old that everything is falling apart). The managers do not actually care about their patrons and will try to overcharge you for anything and everything. If you're thinking of living here, you should seriously reconsider.
Happy Living Here – I have been a resident of Country Oaks Apts. for almost 8 years and have been extremely happy living here. It is a very safe, clean, and beautifully landscaped environment. The managers and leasing staff are friendly and helpful and the maintenance "guys" are quick and efficient. I would highly recommend Country Oaks Apts. to anyone who is looking for a new place to call home.
Awesome Place to Live – Being a senior in college has brought about its challenges, but I will say, choosing to live at Country Oaks definitely wasn't one of them. I find myself often times wrapped-up within my work and other aspects in life, but Country Oaks is always helpful in reminding me to pay fees and help get my stuff in on time. Come Join US – I highly recommend Country Oaks as a wonderful place to live. It is different that any other complex I've lived in, because the office staff is friendly, courteous, and efficient in every way. Their attitude is reflected in the appearance of the complex. The maintenance staff is outstanding. I have absolutely no complaints. It is truly home. Come join us.
Home Sweet Home – I have lived here about two years in a three bedroom apartment. Since move-in day till now, Country Oaks has been home sweet home. The staff here are wonderful and any problems that arise are solved in a professional manner. The location is great in conjunction with the University of Tennessee. I would highly recommend for anyone, especially college students, to check out the apartments here. The quality of service, location, roomy apartments, and peaceful atmosphere should be enough to consider this place.
Office Will Screw You Over – Be careful with the leasing office. They tend to purposely find ways to overcharge you. I paid a pet deposit 350 dollars and my dog died, so I got a new one, and they insisted that I pay a new 350 for this one. I had not even lived there three months at this point. Then I turned in a rent check three days early and I suppose they misplaced it. After rent was due they called and left me a message saying I owed them rent and extra 100 dollar fee for being late. Only because there is no 0 stars – The properties are ok, plenty of noise travels between floors, could hear the neighbors dog howling all morning long. The office will try to screw you when you leave. My rent was $650, but after my second year they changed it from a 30 to a 60 day notice to vacate. I go turn in my 30 day notice and am informed they are going to charge me for 60 days regardless. On top of that they are going to raise my rent $150...
