The Daily Nonpareil was established in 1857 by 24-year-old William Wirt Maynard of Michigan. Maynard, a journeyman printer, had been commissioned by the newly formed Republican Party to start a paper in what was then the Democratic-Whig stronghold of Council Bluffs. The daily newspaper provides local and national news, entertainment, sports, classifieds and business news to southwestern Iowa. The Daily Nonpareil maintains offices in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

I cannot believe you put ADS in the middle of obituaries! �. A person is reading the obituary of someone they care about and up pops a Fareway ad in the middle? Is nothing off limits for making a dollar? Even on people’s grief?
Love the 2019 calendar. Are you selling them too? No matter how busy I am, I always take time to read my daily nonpareil. I like to be kept up on the local news, the obits and even the comics!!
Good paper. Could stand to make the online subscriptions a smidge cheaper but $5 isn’t too bad by any stretch. Also ignore the weirdos in these reviews who feel entitled to free news. Holy moly, how entitled can you be
