We have been handcrafting flavorful, traditional beers in Pawcatuck, CT since long before the craft beer revolution. In 1997, we rolled the first keg of Old Yankee Ale, a full bodied Amber Ale with a citrus finish, down our street to the local pub, CC O'Brien's. From the beginning, we've used only fresh, natural, quality ingredients, and a whole lot of Yankee Pride to give our beers great flavor, body and depth. Great beers for all different kind of beer lovers and the staff is so friendly and fun!
Couple of really great guys working there, very personable and knowledgeable. Well worth the effort of locating (Just drive around to the back). Good Beer, great growler! Went with the Oktoberfest.

One of the original NE craft breweries, Cottrell has kept it low-key with contract brewing and an understated presence beyond the Southeastern CT/RI area, which in turn allows some very intense and creative microbrews, along with standby classics enjoyed by casual drinkers and brewenthusiasts alike. Reasonable prices, easygoing staff, definitely worth a visit.
We had a great time at the October fest. The Jancember beer is now my new favorite.
