We have been handcrafting flavorful, traditional beers in Pawcatuck, CT since long before the craft beer revolution. In 1997, we rolled the first keg of Old Yankee Ale, a full bodied Amber Ale with a citrus finish, down our street to the local pub, CC O'Brien's. From the beginning, we've used only fresh, natural, quality ingredients, and a whole lot of Yankee Pride to give our beers great flavor, body and depth. Cottrell produces excellent beer. The tasting room is a throwback to a time before craft beer was a trend.
Stopped in on Friday after hearing about Off Duty Ale at S&P Oyster Co. My wife and I were treated to a tour of the brewery. The gentleman took time to get explain the process and even gave me several locations that may have this limited brew in stock. Well we found it, now back in NY and hooked on this beer. Hope it makes it here next summer or it’s road trip time.
