WONDERFUL FACIALS – I have been getting my facials by Myra since I started going and my skin has definitely improved in appearance. I have good skin already but she makes it better. Her tips have helped me so much on how to maintain my face from getting blemishes. Well this past week I got a facial from BRENDA, their new part-time esthetecian, and it was EXCELLENT! I love my hair and new day spa! – I am not your typical spa lady type person but I do know what good service is. I was a customer of the old Bogart?s salon. Maybe I should've tried a haircut..... – DO NOT get a pedicure or manicure there. It is ridiculously bad. I have tried twice, once in May, once in June. Really really poorly done. The lady is as sweet as she can be, though. I also tried a massage, and that too seemed very amateur. I like massages, and it felt ok, but nowhere near as amazing as I am used to. Avoid manicures and pedicures here! – I saw all the reviews and went in for a pedicure and a manicure! I came out really disappointed. It was the worst pedi and mani I have ever had. Only positive thing I can say is that the girls that worked there were friendly and nice.
Melvie is just amazing. – I saw a woman in Rice Village with a beautiful hair cut and she mentioned Melvie in the Heights. She didn?t give me the name of the shop, so I had to do some homework and found it. (Googled Melvie in Houston Heights). She is a beautiful young woman that is great at what she does. What a treasure... – My hair has a mind of its own plus it is thick and curly. My husband and I have been transferred with his job to so many places and I always have trouble finding someone that knows what the heck they are doing when it comes to cutting my hair. Not a fancy place, but they do great work – I've been going to these high priced, stuck up day spas for long time and finally got tired of it. I tried this place because of a friends hair style. Its very cute inside and decorated nice. Its not too fancy and the people there are all nice. While there I saw business men and regular women walking in and out. Just a great place with a wonderful group of women. – I like this place because its close and I've tried the others. They are so kind and always smiling. I read the other review and thought to myself, did that person write about Cosa Bella? I?ve been to the 'snooty? or what ever it?s called places and Cosa Bella is nothing like that. Just Okay... – There is nothing too special about this place. The employees can be a bit snooty, but my facial left my skin feeling wonderful. Just your typical spa.
