My brother was referred to this clinic by his primary care doctor for a broken bone. I scheduled his appointment via text message — a convenient option they offer — and received confirmation for 8:20 a.m. We arrived a few minutes early since he’s a new patient. Unfortunately, my experience here has been incredibly disappointing and only reinforced the frustration I have with the medical system. As a self-pay patient, I was very careful to ask detailed questions about costs upfront to avoid surprises. I broke my wrist on a Saturday and came to urgent care on Sunday for X-rays. Four days later, I returned for a cast. Despite already having X-rays, they requested another set. I declined, and fortunately, they proceeded with the casting. I was referred to Coral Desert (Dr Andrew Ence) for carpal tunnel syndrome and also problems with my thumb. It was decided that I would probably need surgery on both hands and a trapeziectomy eventually. First he did surgery on my right (which was almost an immediate relief). Then I waited on the left hand until it got to the point when I needed surgery. Both times went smoothly. During recovery of the left hand, I fell down While hiking and injured my shoulder.
