Dr. Cook is the best. His staff and nurses were so friendly and helpful. This was my first surgery and they helped me feel calm and prepared for it, answering all my questions and giving me detailed instructions. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Dr. Cook came highly recommended to me. He performed surgery on me for 3 hernias. He did a great job and I didn't have any problems with my recovery. His office staff checked in on me and so did the surgery center where I had my surgery. If I need a general surgeon again, I will be calling on Dr. Cook.
I would highly recommend Dr. Cook. He was willing to work me in to his already filled holiday schedule. He is thorough and his skills are excellent. The discomfort I experienced after my gall bladder surgery was minimal requiring no narcotic medication whatsoever. My biggest problem was remembering to take it easy for the allotted healing time. I had a hernia repaired with mesh 5 years ago. 3 years ago it began to fail, and it progress to a point in 2019 that it needed to be fixed. My twin brother had suffered from a hernia repair failing twice! About 3 years ago he found Dr Cook who repaired his double failed hernia repair. For obvious reasons he did not goto the surgeon that fixed it twice before. My brother healed faster with less scaring than the previous surgeries and has never had a problem since. Dr. Cook is phenomenal. He is the most personable doctor I have ever met. He was very clear in explaining my operation pre-surgery, he was masterful in surgery, and he showed that he genuinely cared about my recovery post-surgery. I have never felt that I was in better hands, and I am just very grateful for Doctor Cook.
The surgery went great and recovery and recuperation was far better than when I had the same operation 30 years ago. Dr. Cook is very professional, responsive, and attentive. My experience was much better than expected!
