Connexus uses deceptive marketing and steals from their members. I recently bought a certificate of deposit and it was not disclosed that they only pay interest quarterly. This means that the monthly interest will not compound and the consumer makes less money on their deposit over time. I'm glad that its only a 7 month certificate and. This practice is not in good faith. They should be avoided at all cost!

I had two certificates of deposit. The funds were electronically transferred from our personal account. When we needed to close the accounts they would only send small amounts to our external account, where the money came from, but not the total amount. With the small deposits it would have taken 10 months to receive all the money. So they said they would mail me a check which would take 7-10 business days. I waited and waited and it never came. had a horrible experience at the credit union awhile back. I had over $5000 in my account and went to withdraw $3000 for a late xmas with my family. I was not allowed to withdraw at the teller, I was sent to the service desk where I was grilled by 2 people as to why I want the money. I had also asked if they have gift cards as US bank does and I want one for my nieces birthday. They said we signed a form to have them to pay our lease because we were bought out to them. Our Kia dealer said they did not do it. Every month paid more then the lease amount . We found all this out when we had to file chapter 7. We asked for a copy of what they said we signed but they won't show us. We over paid so we would like a refund of any money's they kept. The kia finance said some company sent our payment every month but they kept no record of who it is. I can't believe a company runs the company that way.

Please do yourself a favor and do not join this credit union. They are very deceptive and discriminatory in their practices. They will require certain things from one person that they will not require from another person. Their application will ask for identification requirements and once you meet those requirements, they will come back and ask you for different requirements which contradict their application. Absolute nightmare in dealing with CCU. We opened 5 year CD's and in less than this time they decided to consider our accounts "abandoned property". They 100% lied when we asked them to provide information on how thy attempted to contact us. They couldn't provide the information, times, dates, methods, even though we've dealt with them across multiple type of accounts. I feel like Im being Stolen from! They are giving me problems with paying an extra 1000 to my principal pmt!!!! Trying to keep me in debt w them.....
