I needed a quick check of my power adapter for my macbook pro to make sure it wasn't damaged before I sent it off to be replaced by Apple. Apple called this store to make sure it would be a waiting appointment. He said he was told that that was the case and in fact they weren't very busy, so you can actually stop by before the appointment and they would be happy to verify the charger works or doesn't work.
