This is a repost form the first Laptop MD – Um yeah, neil Fixed my computer. He did it in front of me. I'm a law student and I needed a repair done FAST. My screen kept going BLANK. I paid like a 100 dollars but not only did I get 45 min of great convo while he fixed it, but he also showed me what was wrong and how to do it myself. Confused, Satisfied, and Angry – Hailing from the west coast, I landed into NYC for business. My computer was running really slowly, and mind you I'm not a technician, but I'm not computer illiterate either. So I Googled this place and thought "wow they have a lot of locations... Great Workmanship – So I had a Toshiba laptop that wouldn't turn on. I called a lot of places and they quoted me a LOT of different numbers with a lot of different assumptions about what needed to be done to my computer - without even looking at the laptop. I got frustrated with everyone so I just randomly brought it to these guys. ...Not Really Computer Related... BUT – So I work in publishing, and all of the sudden my external Hard Drive had something broken off. I think it was where you plug in the electrical thing. Mac Repair – I had lcd screen and I took it to the macstore to get it fixed. Yeah, they quoted me a rediculous price more than what it cost to buy a new one. I had a lot of music and data though so I thought "wow 800 that stinks" yeah took it to these guys and they got my confidence when they told me the lcd crystal thing inside was like 60 bucks. I happily paid the 350 to fix my power book and went home a happy camper. Thanks guys.
Sony Savior – I came in because I had a paper due tom, and my Sony died. Mid terms are this week and I was SO scared of failing. This company was so fast though, that I was able to get my paper backed up to another computer in the same day, while they took 2 days to work on my machine. They were really reasonable considering it was the same day. Thanks guys
Great With macs – If you've ever thought about bringing your machine to a mac store DON'T. These guys will fix any apple computer for a fraction of the price. Just giving you guys a shout-out.
A customer for life – Thank you Laptop Medic. Truly your customer forever. My dog pulled on a cord and my new Sony dropped from my desk. Cracked lcd and screen hanging by one hinge. I went through 5 places, and 3 big names stores. No luck. When I called them, I had a tech on-site within 2 hours, and my laptop was back the next day, in a mint condition. And all that for less then half a price of buying a new laptop. Great service. Thank you guys. Highly recommend.
Busted Laptop – BROOKLYN NATIVE, I found these guys on Citysearch. My computer's harddrive died, and I never backed anything up. I wanted to see if I could get the data out. They told me that there was damage to the harddrive and it would take a couple of days to see if they could get it out. THE GREAT THING ABOUT THEM WAS THOUGH, they said they wouldn't charge me a dime if they couldn't get it out.
