Worst customer service ever...do not venture – These people are the worst firm on the earths surface. I called and booked an appointment in my very busy schedule to get my laptop repaired. The next day when my laptop appointment was due, I called in late on a business meeting just so i could make it at the appointment time of 9am. I get there and all they told me is come back at 10 am. Not recommended. – I wouldn't recommend this company. I took my $200 hard drive to them for repair; these people then told me that it couldn't be repaired. I later found out that this wasn't true. Not only that, but they wanted to charge me a MINIMUM of $2,000 for data recovery, which I didn't need. I said no thanks, and asked them for a written estimate to give to my insurance company. They wouldn't give me an estimate unless I paid them $60. By then fed up, this I also refused. They get one star, however, because at least ... read more
Please Avoid – I don't care who you take your computer to, just don't take it to these guys. I assume they get so much business that they have gotten lazy or have a bias toward replacing hard drives. I was getting BSOD and brought it to them. Next day they say they want to replace hard drive for at least $300 so I take it back and call Dell. Dell walks through a few steps with me and all of a sudden it works! I didn't have to re-install Windows or anything, let alone BUY A NEW HARD DRIVE. Thanks guys!
happy client – brought my laptop to best buy, i was getting blue screen of death. after paying $80 for diagnostics, and 2 days later, i was given a price of $300 to replace my hard drive and $1000!!!!!!!!!!! to get my data back. i took it to the laptop doctors, and next day i had my laptop back, and all the data for less then a half of best buy price. i don't know how they did it..but they did it, and im truly grateful for that. my data was my life, everything i ever worked on was saved on that hard drive, and silly me, no b... read more
professional, fast and reliable service – my desktop crashed 8 am in the morning, and all my work was due 5 pm. i had a tech at 10 am, he picked up my desktop, in 3 hours i had it back, everything was up and running, and all my info was back. I cant believe how fast and how affordable. recommend to anyone. this will be my tech guys from now on..
Dont trust these guys – My video card failed on my computer. So I take it in and they simply disconnect the nice video card and plug in the one that came with the computer. Then they charge me 100 dollars. I tell them it's ridiculous. They have only reconnected an old video card which takes about 5 minutes. Then they ask me to speak with the manager on the phone - he lies to me and says they got a new video card, until he realizes I am not that stupid, and then he totally changes his story... we do remember this client. brought her laptop to us, which was dead. was in a rush. in immediate need to do it the same day. we did what we can, under circumstances presented. under $100 she got her laptop working %100. Where else in the city, she can get her laptop fixed (even temporarily) for under $100. and we were honest all the time, as far as what we are doing for her. Ungrateful ..
A Lifesaver with Good Prices – The fan on my Thinkpad T42 failed just before I was leaving on a flight between London and New York City. A complete nightmare! The laptop said "fan error "on bootup and then shutdown (it does this so the processor doesn't overheat and burn out). I found out about LaptopMD on Citysearch in my last minute frenzy to find a solution and dashed to the airport with my broken laptop. AMAZING service, friendly staff, computer magicians! – These guys found all the missing data on my external hard drive that I had accidentally formated. Everything was intact, including my some 5000 mp3 files, and the book I was writing (whew!) They gave me the most reasonable price around, and believe me, I did my research. Highly, highly recommended.
GREAT SERVICE – The guys seem shy, but the are really friendly and the service is great! I dropped my Laptop PC and the screen cracked. These guys fixed it for half the price the manufacturers offered and they had the job done the next day! I sooo recommend them.
