Dr. Matsunaga's nurse, Gabrielle Kallmeyer is the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in a medical setting. She is relentlessly abusive verbally, demeaning, belittling talking over, raising her voice and cornering me physically in the exam room for twenty solid minutes. I left there shaking like a leaf. When I complained about this to her the next time I saw her - she became even worse than the first time. She behaves like she has an absolute right to assault people verbally. I wound up afraid of being in a ro... read more
In the last two years, under the care of Dr. Matsunaga and Gabrielle, I have been able to cut back on dosage and switch to meds with less side effects, while still keeping my pain under control. This is the first time my medications have lessened instead of increased in the last decade. I have been a chronic pain patient for 10 years; regrettably the first 8 I was treated elsewhere. In the last two years, I’ve made more progress, both with my meds and my life as a whole, than I had in the previous eight years. Dr. M and Gabr... read more
I went to visit Dr Matsunaga last April from the recommendation of my Oncologist and my brother, who happens to be a physical therapist. I was in debilitating pain from several broken ribs and a compression fracture in my spine. With Dr. M’s help, I was able to get back on my feet and get on the road to recovery. He listened to my concerns and provides tools to recover.
I’ve been coming to Dr. M for several years now but as of my last two appointments, the customer service has steadily declined. The college aged female front desk staff have grown increasingly rude as if it’s a bother that I’m here to be seen.
I saw Dr. Matsunaga today for the first time and he is hands down the best doctor I’ve ever seen!(and I’ve seen tons). He has amazing reviews and is highly recommend and I can see why. He’s genuinely caring, he actually listens to your concerns. He doesn’t push anything like most doctors do and spends time going through you’re history and treats your particular case and doesn’t treat you like just another patient . He is truly amazing. The staff is friendly and pleasant as well.
I have been a pain management patient of Dr. Mark’s since he went “out on his own” in Columbia too many years ago, that memory fails me was it 13 or 15 years ago? I am his 1st patient after the computer being #1 to test. Dr. Mark is the most proficient kind/compassionate pain caregiver I have in my arsenal of pain mgmt. solutions giving me a quality of life to enjoy my grand-beauties, my fur-babies and movement again. Pain is debilitating & robs us of our quality of day to day life. TY Dr. Mark
Appreciated how he listened to us and laid out all of our options. His approach was to offer all the tools he knew and then discuss with us the best way forward, pros and cons, and alternative approaches. Very professional and caring and empowered us to navigate this road to recovery utilizing his expertise.
