Companion Animal Foundation is a non-profit animal rescue, program and education center, as well as thrift store. There is a cat adoption room, where one can visit with the kittens and adult cats. Our visitors are people who are looking to adopt a new family member and simply people who want a "kitty fix". We also have dogs up for adoption and rarely will have other types of animals. I usually don't do this ,but I am so mad. I have a friend. She is elderly and disabled. She has to move and can't take her 2 senior cats. One is diabetic and needs insulin. She loves her cats dearly but just can't take care of them anymore. She needs to re-home them and called CAF for help. Do you know what she gets? Yelled at. Berated . Tried adopting a larger-breed puppy from here and they refused my application because I have a small child. Kim claimed that you can’t expect dogs to behave around children and undermined my parenting assuming that I would allow my son to be careless around him. My son has been around dogs all his life and knows how to appropriately act around them. Heartbreaking for me because this dog is such a sweetheart and I was excited for him to join my family. All around rude experience and I’d recommend anywhere else before here.

Kim will spend whatever it takes to get her cats/kittens in good health before they go up for adoptiion. In addition, several years ago, a 17year old mom cat and her 16year old daughter were brought in for adoption when their owner died. CAF was able to adopt them out together. I thought that was the cat's meow!
CAF goes above and beyond for the animal kingdom and people too :) please adopt from them or support in any way you see fit. I’ve had the pleasure of fostering a couple pups and was impressed with Ayla, a woman who works extremely hard!
