I have been using Community America for about 10 years now, and have absolutely loved them. They offer the BEST customer service of any financial institution I have ever dealt with! Their fees are low, profit sharing is high. When the government shut down for 35 days leaving me without a paycheck, it was CACU who made it so I had groceries on my table 2 weeks in with a zero interest short term loan. 0 interest means they cared more about me than they did money. They are the best. I have had zero issues with them
Don't get a mortgage with them, the experience sucks. They use Truhome Solutions to service them and they suck. Communication is not their strong suit. I or my real estate agent had to constantly be following up to get updates. Then I was promised final closing figures on a Friday and never heard from them until Monday, the day of closing and about an hour until closing. i have been with community america for 8 months with the impression from the staff that they work with people with less than steller credit. well this was very misleading. after bringing my credit score up over 80 points diligently focused on every part of my credit. now today for the 3rd time got denied to refinance my 6 year old car with 45k miles. i have 100% payment history only 2 loans the only other is my student loans and no other debt and nearly perfect credit since my bankruptcy almost 5 years ago. today i spoke to ... read more
