I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience with this agency. Unfortunately, the standard of care provided was far below what we expected or needed for our loved one. From the beginning, communication was poor. Calls and emails often went unanswered or were returned late. Scheduling was inconsistent, and we frequently had last-minute cancellations without any backup carers provided, which left us scrambling to find help. The carers who did show up were hit or miss. I worked for this company up until recently (moved provinces) as a caregiver. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone who wants to be part of a team that is HIGHLY CONSIDERATE, HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL, & HIGHLY COMPASSIONATE!! I was no longer able to provide needs of living services and some personal care for a younger relative with some mental health / brain damage related issues ( in a 3d story apartment with no elevator). My mom had 2 care workers from Community Plus and they were both really great. My mom loved her time with them. They always went above and beyond to care for her. As a daughter I knew the days her care workers were with her that I didn't have to worry about anything. A plus I would recommend Community Plus to others as needed.
I contacted Community Plus on a Saturday afternoon at 4 pm. My call was answered by one of the coordinators. Impressive! Within 16 hours, the intake process was completed, a draft care plan was on record, and they had scheduled a home safety assessment for Monday. We have not had to use their home care services yet, but everyone we spoke with on the admin side was responsive, caring, professional, flexible. This certainly reduces the stress of arranging home care.
