Our family is very thankful for the staff of CommunityPlus homecare. From the office co-ordinators to the wonderful caregivers who come to assist our dad, everyone has been attentive, thorough and very kind. Dad enjoys his time with his CommunityPlus caregivers and they make sure all steps on the care plan are followed and that everything he needs is taken care of. This team is amazing! Caring, attentive, knowledgeable and client-centred care is at the heart of what they do. Over the years, team members have gone above-and-beyond to support my elderly parents with physical mobility supports. I know I can rely on Community Plus Care to help me coordinate escort/driving to regular scheduled activities, emergency and new appointments. I had workers from Community Plus for 2 weeks after I recovered from surgery. They helped me with showering and dressing and some meal preparation. All the women arrived on time. They are well trained and confident in their work which made me feel comfortable in having them care for me. As well, all the women that I had giving me care had pleasant personalities. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience with this agency. Unfortunately, the standard of care provided was far below what we expected or needed for our loved one. From the beginning, communication was poor. Calls and emails often went unanswered or were returned late. Scheduling was inconsistent, and we frequently had last-minute cancellations without any backup carers provided, which left us scrambling to find help. The carers who did show up were hit or miss. I contacted Community Plus on a Saturday afternoon at 4 pm. My call was answered by one of the coordinators. Impressive! Within 16 hours, the intake process was completed, a draft care plan was on record, and they had scheduled a home safety assessment for Monday. We have not had to use their home care services yet, but everyone we spoke with on the admin side was responsive, caring, professional, flexible. This certainly reduces the stress of arranging home care.
