My friend is in L&D and her water broke more than 48 hours ago. She's 35 weeks but her contractions aren't frequent enough to send her into actual labor. Even though her water broke almost 3 days ago now they won't help her labor along. This isn't only stressful on her but the baby as well. The perinatal doctor won't do anything and he says his authority out ranks everyone else. How is this ok?? New patient care procedures?
