I am an emergency room physician in Chicago area and my family member is being cared for at this piece of crap hospital. Zero communication ....nurses are unable to even speak on the phone (with consent of my brother whose wife is a patient there). If somebody who works in the healthcare field cannot even get answers or help or communication, how can anyone else? This place sucks. I would only go to this hospital if you are near death and have to go to the nearest hospital.
Don’t want to disclose names, but bad experience in the Endoscopy Department. My mom had an endoscopy done and her nurse wasn’t the nicest. Older lady, crabby, not very attentive. We were waiting on our ride as she wasn’t able to drive and we were being rushed as if they had a line of procedures. Kept hearing the nurse say, “I leave at 2:00, I need them to leave” several times. Gossiping to other nurses on us sitting in the room not leaving yet. Time: 1:00PM Date: October 29
As with all things there is going to be good and bad, for the most part my recent stay (month long) was exceptional. Shout out to Caroline my ICU nurse who went above and beyond to keep me going and my team of Doctors who once again saved my life. I won't nitpick over a few things I didn't like about ER, you were slammed when I came in. I am groot! Those who know will understand.😁
The same day surgical nursing staff is amazing. They were so attentive and I never even needed to hit the call button for everything because they checked in on me so frequently. I live an hour away so being somewhere new for long surgery was a little scary but they made me feel so comfortable. They made sure to go over my home directions in a way that we understood and they showed my boyfriend how to empty and care for the drains I had to go home with. kind caring staff clean facility good food even on cardiac diet.
This is the only hospital that we go to anymore. We always get the best care here.
